I'm looking for help with the zeaway swimming pool cover and how to measure size needed when mine is a kidney shaped pool and also has extending part for steps. Can they be cut to size and extra pieces taped together , also is it a floating cover?

> Joining Pieces: While extra pieces can be taped together, we recommend minimizing seams for better durability.
> Floating Function: The cover’s bubble structure allows it to float on water when placed (if this is what you meant by " floating cover").
