This is a pump only and has no capacity for heating the water

How does it work? Can i attach it to laundry tapand shower my dog in the backyard?

Normal operation of the shower is to stick the pump into a bucket of water and use it that way.
If connecting the pump to a laundry tap, the pressure generated by the tap may be too great for the pump and cause a leak to generate from around the seals
