Hi, just wondering, would these work on their side, horizontally? Are the shelves fixed in place? I am assuming they are for structural reasons but thought I'd ask.

Sorry, I am referring specifically to the 4x1 units.

Hi Glenn, these can be placed horizontally or vertically, the shelves are all fixed in place and are not adjustable.

The height of 8 units is only 1150mm ? It looks the same height as 4 units which is 1500mm.
And, how thickness the shelves are?

Hi Liliane, This mist be a typo, 8cube bookshelf is also 1500 in height and wood thickness is 3cm. Cheers
