Louis Myburgh commented over 3 years ago. Bought 2 of theses bikes for my partner and I. This past week we have enjoyed the Waikato river pathways with them. They are really great. Look out for an orange and grey one. That will be my partner and I enjoying the evening rides after work. Thanks Bionic Bikes. Great design. Having heaps of fun with them. Just one question are we able to up grade the batteries? as we would love to do some runs that are over 40KM.

Paul Kleinsman commented over 3 years ago. Hi Louis,
We have already put the maximum size cells we can fit in this bike, so unfortunately you can't upgrade the battery any further (the Samsung cells we use already boost the range by about 30%). Great to hear you are enjoying these bikes!
Cheers,
Paul

Raewyn Hope commented over 3 years ago. Hi there. Is it possible to fit a basket on the front of the bike ?
Louise from GrabOne Store commented over 3 years ago. Hi! Thanks for your query! The merchant will be online shortly to assist. :)
Paul Kleinsman commented over 3 years ago. Hi Raewyn, yes it is possible to fit a basket in front. There are a few brands which will work. Just bear in mind that if you plan to fold the bike regularly the basket will probably get in the way when you are folding it. Most the baskets have a quick release system so that you can quickly unclip the basket before folding.
Anna Tse commented over 3 years ago. Hi there - are there still any of these e-bikes in store at 172L Marua Rd, Ellerslie, Auckland? Keen to check them out this weekend. Thanks!
Louise from GrabOne Store commented over 3 years ago. Hi Anna, thanks for your query! The merchant will be online soon to assist you here. :)
Paul Kleinsman commented over 3 years ago. Hi Anna, we have a demo bike you can try which will be available only till 12PM on Saturday as it has been sold.
Raewyn Hope commented over 3 years ago. Hi - I am really intrigued by this bike , but I’m not a natural bike rider . Is it easy to ride, with the electrics ? How long does the charge in the battery last and how often do you need to charge it ? I imagine I would use it a lot over summer, but what happens re the battery over winter, when it is not used very often ? Are the batteries easy to replace if it is necessary ? The bike looks fairly low to the ground - I am 5 ft , so I assume my feet would touch the ground when sitting still on it ( not the case with other bikes, hence my difficulty in reading ). Sorry - I’m in New Plymouth, so I can’t go and look at the bikes in the shop.does it come completed, or does it need to be assembled ?
Anna Tse commented over 3 years ago. Thanks Paul, I will come over this Saturday at 10am to check it out :) One of my other questions seem to have disappeared. Would you be able to tell me if this bike can climb any hills at all, given it's single speed? Thanks again, Anna
Louise from GrabOne Store commented over 3 years ago. Hey team, the merchant will be online shortly to advise. :)
Paul Kleinsman commented over 3 years ago. Hi Anna, yes it will still climb reasonably steep hills (to about 12 degrees), but obviously doesn't have the same hill climbing abilities as a geared bike.
Raewyn Hope commented over 3 years ago. Hi Paul. I know that you are probably busy, but could you answer my previous questions , please ? I would really like to know more about the bike, with a view of buying one .
[email protected] commented over 3 years ago. Could I have an 'Orange: North Island Urban Delivery Option' on the Nifty bike please?
Louise from GrabOne Store commented over 3 years ago. Hi Raewyn and Julie, thanks for your discussion board post! The team at Bionic Bikes will be online shortly to assist. Thanks!
Paul Kleinsman commented over 3 years ago. Hi Raewyn, sorry I completely missed your message last week.. The Nifty is very easy to ride - just select how much assistance you want and start pedaling. If you feel too tired there is a throttle function which allows you to operate the bike like a scooter (without even pedaling). The only limitation with the Nifty is that it is a single speed, which means you don't change gears, so you can't go up extremely steep hills. A five foot person can easily ride the Nifty as it is quite low to the ground. Hope this helps.
Raewyn Hope commented over 3 years ago. Hi. I tried to buy the orange bike for north island urban delivery but it says sold out . Is it still possible to get one ?
