What is Fir wood? Is it hard or soft, what maintenance does it require? Is it water proof? Thanks heaps.

Hi Ross, i can also confirm that this is weather proof which means that it can be left outdoors all year long as its treated wood.

Hi Ross, thanks for your interest,Fir is a common lumber that comes from any number of coniferous trees. Fir is known for its strength and dimensional stability as well as its natural resistance to rot and pests. As with any wood, fir is susceptible to changes in humidity and cannot be made truly waterproof.Its just water resistant to an extent.
