Karen Rouse commented over 7 years ago. Seriously interested in this. But some questions:
1. I assume this is wired into the house's water heating circuit. How is it affected by the ripple control from the lines company?
2. Can I do the physical installation myself and get an electrician to do the final connection?
3. Presumably the Napier installer covers all of Hawkes Bay (Hastings)? Can you say who that is?

Ella Te Huia from Smart Energy Homes commented over 7 years ago. Hi Karen,
Thanks for your interest in our kiwi designed hot water controller just to answer your questions;

1.Yes it needs to be hard wired into the hot water circuit by a qualified electrician does not interfere with ripple control, ripple control is unknown when it turns on lol depends on your lines company when they turn it off or on.

2. We do not recommend you do part of the install yourself unless you are a competent tradesman with the right tools. You will need an electrician to give you a coDe of compliance certificate so meeting our manufacturers warranty.

3. We would recommend Laser Electrical, however in our experience any experienced electrician can easily install the controller full installtion instructions come with theismart controller. installation takes approximately two hours.
